Crafthouse Reston - If Mid Food Was a Restaurant

TL;DR - Decent atmosphere for a sports bar, the food is pretty okay(mid compared to other places); target audience is mainly middle aged people looking for food and drink



IMAGES IN ORDER: Crafthouse Tots, Cowboy Burger

Today I went to a friend's local favorite after bartaco had a lengthy wait time.  Crafthouse in Reston Town Center serves up American mainstays in a sports bar atmosphere.  The service was great, however our server called herself stupid multiple times for missing our orders and referenced being blonde as the source(???) It's clear when you go here that the beer and the social atmosphere are what people come for, and not so much the food.  However, the bar food is relatively good.


Crafthouse Tots:
Comes with tater tots, jalapeños, bacon, and sour cream. To be completely honest -- the tots were kind of trash.  It was clear the only "fresh" thing that was on the plate was the sour cream; you could tell the bacon was from a bag and the tots were so frozen that they fell apart on the plate as you tried to pick them up.  I don't know if they felt adding queso("cheddar ale") to the plate as a base was tasteful, but it just made trying to eat them worse.  Score:  5/10

Cowboy Burger:
Comes with fries, ketchup, and is comprised of bacon, a burger patty, onion rings, pepper jack cheese, and barbeque sauce.  The burger made up for the rest of the meal.  I ordered it medium-well, and it was cooked nicely.  The fries were just as bad as the tater tots -- obviously frozen and flavorless.  However, those will not be factored into the score.  My friends said that they would rather go to Burger 21 over this place, but I still think that their burgers are good, but don't justify the $18 price tag.  Score:  8/10
